With more than a decade of design experience, Lauren has been creating beautiful spaces balancing form and function peppered with color and personality.
Lauren received a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Oklahoma’s School of Architecture. While in school and upon graduation she worked for a Residential Interior Designer who would later become her mother-in-law. The experience she gained working in the field led her to pursue a specialty in Kitchen & Bath design.
After settling in Houston she worked for one of the city’s top Kitchen & Bath Design Studios where she honed her craft working on custom kitchen and bathroom designs for new construction and remodeling projects. After the birth of her first daughter in late 2010, she decided to focus on building Lauren Haskett Fine Design, and has since worked on projects ranging from new construction, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and the furnishing of homes for numerous clients.
“The aim of my work is to reflect the clients that live in the home. In every portfolio photo I see the personality of my clients and that is what makes a project a success. My style is comfortable and layered, with an ‘opposites attract’ mentality. The tension created by pairing the old with the new makes a room unique and memorable.”
Lauren is a PaperCity Magazine Design Award winner and has been featured in The Houston Chronicle, Trad Home Magazine, and Houston House and Home just to name a few. In addition to design, Lauren is passionate about travel, philanthropy, and spending time with her family. Her two daughters keep her on her toes, and she and her husband can often be found teaching them to rollerblade, ride scooters or enjoying the animals at the Zoo.
This native Texan is an integral part of the LHFD team. Bringing her passion for color, pattern and “New Southern” style, Laura believes that every space can be both inspirational as well as livable.
After earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Laura relocated to Dallas for an internship with Staffelbach, then accepted a permanent position with Emily Owens Design Group. As a Junior Designer with Emily Owens she developed her skills and knowledge in high-end commercial and residential design.
After three years in Dallas, life and family led her to Houston where she soon fell into place with LHFD. Laura is actively involved in the Houston Junior League and has a love for travel, classic movies, and spending time with the people she loves.
