MEET Lauren Haskett

Originally from Fort Worth, Lauren moved to Houston in 2006 where she worked with a leading kitchen and bath company before launching her namesake firm in 2009. Lauren studied at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Architecture where she earned her CIDA accreditation as well as her undergraduate degree in Interior Design.

Lauren’s aesthetic is influenced by classicism and characterized by an elegant approach to design that is both comfortable and energetic. She is known for her surprising color selections which she layers expertly into formal spaces, blending her classical leanings with a dynamic punch of the unexpected.

As a leader in her firm, Lauren is hands-on with every project and aspires to help each client create a home that is both beautiful and customized to their lifestyle. She guides each client through the decision-making process while also serving as a liaison to communicate design intent to builders and subcontractors.

Her favorite part of her job is helping each client find their unique style, then creating a home that reflects who they are and how they live. She loves learning from and collaborating with Houston’s best craftsmen, makers, builders and architects. The fast-paced nature of the design industry means there are constant opportunities to evolve your style and stay inspired.

When she’s not designing, you can find Lauren spending time with her husband, Bryce, and her two beautiful daughters, Sadie and Emme. They love traveling together as a family as well as bike rides and entertaining at home with friends.

Laura Hoppe

Born and raised in San Antonio, Laura received her undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Baylor University before moving to Houston in 2015. With more than eight years of interior design experience, Laura is a seasoned and integral part of the Lauren Haskett Design team.

She got her start with the Emily Owens Design Firm out of Dallas, where she worked closely on both residential and commercial projects. It was during this time that Laura fell in love with designing personal homes and she would find herself working exclusively with residential clients in her role at Lauren Haskett Design.

Laura’s style can be described as “new Southern” which is epitomized by a fresh combination of traditional design blended with current, colorful accents. Laura is drawn to spaces that feel layered with texture and pattern while being connected to the past through antiques and family heirlooms. Every design presents new challenges and Laura loves the sense of accomplishment that comes from carefully working through the details to make each client’s vision come to life.

Laura’s life is made whole by her incredible husband, Nathan, and beloved puppy, Millie. She is also very close to her three sisters, one of whom is her identical twin, Sarah. In her free time, you can find Laura spending time with friends and volunteering with the Junior League of Houston.
