HIGHLAND

Completed in the summer of 2021, this historic Heights bungalow underwent a comprehensive design transformation. We were led by the client's desire for a unique twist on the classic, and functionality for her family took precedence. We executed practical renovations, like relocating the laundry, concealing storage in a new mudroom and overhauling the primary bath. Strategic spatial planning created dedicated play areas for her young sons, paired with durable materials and refined finishes.

Filled with elegant furnishings from a variety of eras, this home gracefully balances old with new. Sentimental pieces found new life, like the revitalized armoire in the study. We designed a moody palette that captivates in public spaces, evoking sophistication, while private areas embraced a lighter, airy ambiance. Elegance met comfort through timeless selections like marble, ceramic tile and unlacquered brass.  The art selection introduced a mix of new and vintage pieces, resonating with the client.

A standout moment was the reveal, celebrating the collective effort! In all, this project celebrated the harmonious interplay of history, innovation, and personalization, while capturing the soul of this historic home.
